Attic, the full length of the house
The attic ran the whole length of the house and was used to store cloth. The oak trusses are numbered in Roman chisel marks, because the carpenters assembled the frame on the ground first, and you can still read them from the bed. We added a fireplace, a floor and very little else.
There is room for four, with a sofa bed that we make up properly, and a dining table if you would rather have dinner sent up than go down. A short stair behind the bathroom leads to a small terrace hidden behind the stepped gable, with the belfry straight ahead.
